Homemade Whole Food Snacks for Kids
Snacks. Both a word to love and fear when it comes to feeding your children. Snacks can be a saving grace when dealing with little ones. They can also be the word you dread to hear each day. Knowing when, if and what to give your child as a snack throughout the day can be a mental battle. Is it too close to dinner time? Do we have anything healthy? Will it travel well? Personally we use snacks often. I pack them as part of lunches. I bring them out on car journeys. I use them in restaurants and shops if we have been waiting that little bit too long. The thing about snacks, is for me to justify their use, they need to be healthy. Ideally I prefer it when they are whole food and homemade snacks. I just feel better about the whole situation in general. Our homemade snacks I use for desserts, bribery and travel. I need them to be healthy. Transport well. And I need to be able to batch cook them ahead of time. That’s what this collection of recipes consists of. My tried and tested homemade whole food snacks for kids!
